Fitness is a journey and weight loss is an event or byproduct. Let’s put some critical thoughts out there:
· The primary way to lose weight is to eat less calories than your burn…period.
o How you get there is where this can help.
· Fitness like all journeys usually needs a basic map to help guide your decisions on what to do, how to do it, and how often to do it.
o We will do our best to make that will happen, too.
· Hitting your goals is tough when you are on your own, and we want to build a community over the next 3 months to push us all over the line.
o This is where you come in!
In the spirit of keeping it interesting:
· All entrants are anonymous to the event. You will become a BD#, unless of course you want to put it out there and shine (alias names more than welcome!). Admittedly, I’ll be the keeper of the information and results posting – somebody has to be responsible ;-)
o Indy Division – the pure weight loss challenge (put your money where your mouth is) with some side challenges just to make it interesting for a game in the game.
o Flying V Division – let’s light this fitness candle! This is the spot where we look for what works for you and keep the sense of greater community. Presume all Indy folks should be in this division, too(Flying V = Sense of a goose (look it up)).
o Wolf Pack – This is the guiding group. No competition, but lots of advice on training, recovery, and different workouts to keep your fitness journey fun fresh, and progressing. (Courtesy of my friend Mark’s post – look up how a wolf pack travels from most vulnerable to strongest). This will be my humble attempt at social media!? @#ohnohedidn’t
§ The ambition is to set up a spot for interviews, advice, and links to cool things that could help you on the journey.
§ Also, will be sending out stuff via survey monkey to give further feedback on what the team is thinking!
